CARETAKER Blackrod Primary School is a popular school with caring and hard-working staff, and well-behaved friendly children. The Headteacher and governors are seeking to appoint an excellent Caretaker to work alongside our current team. The successful candidate will have a conscientious attitude towards work duties under the supervision of our Site Manager and will: Applicants will:- Be responsible for maintaining an excellent standard of cleanliness of designated areas in the building and duties will include toilets and associated facilities against an agreed cleaning specification you will work to with good attention to detail. Relevant experience is essential, although persons with appropriate skills and a willing attitude are invited to apply. SALARY: GRADE C Points 4-6 (£25185 - £25989)
START DATE: 1st April 2026 or as soon as possible
STATUS OF POSITION: FIXED TERM for 12 months with a view to a permanent position.
HOURS: 37 Hours per week. Monday Friday (Hours per day to be discussed at interview)
Be a good handy person with relevant skills
Have the ability to work to tight timescales is essential as is a flexible approach
Be able to work independently using initiative and as part of a team
Be able to communicate clearly with and relate positively to all members of staff
Have knowledge of Health & Safety at work
Have the ability to recognise the importance of ensuring a secure and safe environment.
