Hours: 37 hours per week (Term Time Only plus 1 week)

Salary: NJC Grade E SCP12-17 £28,598 - £31,022 per annum, pro rata

We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Attendance and Engagement Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in monitoring, improving, and managing pupil attendance, helping to ensure that all students are engaged and supported to attend regularly.

The successful candidate would join our supportive and forward-thinking team. We provide an inclusive learning environment, ensuring that every student receives the tailored support they need to achieve their full potential. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a diverse cohort of learners, helping to remove barriers to poor school attendance to ensure they can succeed both academically and personally.

We are looking for a resilient, compassionate, and skilled communicator who can engage students, their families and other professionals. The ideal candidate will be committed to working in partnership with others and have a solution focused approach to improving school attendance.

In addition, applicants must have: -

·         Strong communication and interpersonal skills

·         Ability to build positive relationships with young people, families, and colleagues

·         Organised and able to manage sensitive information confidentially

  • Ability to promote a positive attendance and punctuality culture.

·       A sound knowledge of safeguarding

·       Have the ability to form and maintain positive relationships with disengaged young people

·        Knowledge of attendance policies, safeguarding, and local authority procedures is an advantage
