Blackpool has been awarded the prestigious National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR)'s, Health Determinants Research Collaboration (HDRC) funding. £5 million over 5 years is enabling us to deliver an innovative programme of research to support Blackpool to become fully research active. We will scale up our highly innovative community co-research model so we can improve the unacceptable health inequalities faced by our community. Putting the Blackpool community at the heart of everything we do. To do this, Blackpool Council is working alongside Lancaster University, Blackpool Teaching Hospitals, a range of community partners and crucially, our residents, as equal partners in this ambitious and groundbreaking project. We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Research Training Officer who will support the capacity/capability building element of the project, developing and delivering support, coaching and mentoring, as well as formal training for Blackpool Council officers, teams and projects, to develop and embed a research informed approach to their work. Working as part of the HDRC team, the post holder will be part of the HDRC Research Team in Blackpool Council. Interviews for shortlisted candidates TBC. to view the Job Description.
