Salary: NJC Grade F SCP 19-24 £32,061 - £35,412 per annum plus 2 additional increments for evening and weekend working

Our children’s services team is leading the way with exciting developments to further improve the lives of children and families in Blackpool. As a result, a fantastic opportunity has arisen for experienced Family Workers to join us in delivering Early Help services across Blackpool.

Our family workers deliver support to children and their families across the town through our network of Family Hubs and are at the forefront of delivering our vision for all children to receive the right support at the right time.

Day to day; this could include supporting with information gathering and decision making in our front door, acting as the lead professional (assess, plan, do, review using our Early Help Assessment), delivering evidence based 1:1 interventions and group-based delivery in our Family Hubs

We are looking for family workers who are experts in engaging families and other agencies; experience of holding a case load of families and in delivering evidence-based programmes is vital.

This is a unique opportunity to join a supportive team who are passionate about Early Help and committed to ensuring improved outcomes for children and their families.

  • A background in supporting families, including experience in assessment and direct work with a proven ability to work creatively with families
  • Excellent communication skills and a tenacious approach to working alongside partner agencies.
  • The ability to deliver high quality practice and embrace our Blackpool Families Rock approach
  • To be a reflective practitioner who embraces and promotes strengths-based work.

 There is a requirement for regular evening and weekend working, with a flexible approach to offering support when families most need it.
