St Peter’s is a two form entry Church of England primary school serving our local community. We are well positioned, being just off the M62, which makes us easily accessible from Manchester, Stockport and surrounding areas.

We are looking to appoint an inspirational and highly motivated Assistant Headteacher to join our Senior Leadership Team and lead on SEND and Inclusion across our school. This is a nonclassbased role, combining the strategic leadership of SEND and Safeguarding as Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL). The successful candidate will embrace our Christian ethos and support staff in their drive to secure continuous improvement for pupils with special educational needs, while also contributing to the wider safeguarding culture of the school.

• Has an excellent understanding of the SEND Code of Practice.
• Is an experienced, exemplary teacher able to model and develop highquality practice.
• Has a strong track record of improving outcomes for pupils with SEND and other priority groups.
• Has a proven track record of highquality leadership of a key school area.
• Has excellent communication, organisation and interpersonal skills.
• Will be confident in leading safeguarding as the DSL.
• Can inspire, motivate and support colleagues across the school.
• Is passionate about wellbeing, mental health and pastoral care.
• Holds the NPQSENCo/NASENCo (or is committed to achieving the NPQSENCo).
