We are looking to recruit a Quality Monitoring Officer to join a small established team that monitors a broad range of contracted services used by children, young people, and their families. The core purpose of the team is to provide internal and external assurance that children and young people are safe, cared for, and happy in contracted services, and that services continually improve. The ideal candidate will: · Have a public sector, private sector, or third sector children's provider services background · Have an understanding of the Council’s roles and responsibilities in supporting children, young people and families · Have a good working knowledge of the key principles of quality assurance and be committed to supporting continuous improvement in contracted services · Have a good appreciation of the pressures within children's services nationally and locally particularly around Supported Accommodation for young people aged 16+ · Be comfortable influencing and contributing to change For an informal discussion about the post please email michael.watson@blackpool.gov.uk or phone 07443 35410 to view the Job Description.
