Stores Yard Assistant

Contract - Permanent

Hours - 37hrs

Salary - NJC Grade D SCP 7-11 £26,403 - £28,142 per annum

The Council are looking for a Stores Yard Assistant reliable, dedicated member of the team to assist with stock taking, ordering and stock control associated with a very busy stores service. Your main duties will be 

• Obtaining quotes for various materials from suppliers
• Raising orders and monitoring costs
• Operation of plant –  Tele Handler
• Loading/unloading materials
• Delivery of supplies to Council departments

On-site training will be given to further your progression, the following are essential for this role -

• Level 2 in English and Maths (GCSEs Grade A-C or Grades 4-9) or equivalent qualification
• Level 2 Certificate in Warehousing and Storage
• Current full driving license
• Tele Handler Certificate
