We are looking to add a Senior Officer to the Food and Health & Safety Enforcement Team, supporting the team, making senior level decisions and deputising for the Team Manager. The successful applicant should embed the visions and values of the Council into their work, and endeavor to make a real difference to residents and visitors. We seek an officer that is qualified and experienced in food safety and health & safety to supervise the team, leading with enthusiasm and motivation. They will have the opportunity to develop policies and procedures alongside the Team Manager. They will be a team player and have a proactive approach to their work. They will have the ability to use the full remit of legislation in a fair and balanced way. With a wide range of food businesses within the Town, this is the perfect career opportunity for the candidate. The candidate must be willing to undergo leadership training such as CMI Level 3. This post requires access to PSN (Public Services Network) services or networks and the successful post holder will be required to undertake a Basic Disclosure check of unspent convictions through Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS). This post is also subject to satisfactory references, medical clearance, evidence of any essential qualifications and proof of legal working in accordance with the Asylum and Immigration Act 1996. The successful applicant will be required to work outside of a 7am to 8pm Monday to Friday work pattern and will receive an additional payment on top of the quoted salary as a result.
