Salary: Grade 3, £17,932 - £18,501 per annum. £12.85 - £13.26 per hour

37 hours per week, term time, working 38 weeks per year

Key Responsibilities

• Support the class teacher in delivering high-quality teaching and learning activities.
• Work with individuals and small groups of pupils to support learning, reinforce lessons and help pupils achieve their potential.
• Provide targeted support for pupils with additional learning, social or emotional needs.
• Help create a safe, positive and inclusive learning environment for all pupils.
• Assist with the preparation of learning materials and classroom resources.
• Support pupils’ social, emotional and behavioural development.
• Encourage pupils’ independence, confidence and engagement in their learning.
• Monitor and report on pupil progress to the class teacher.
• Supervise pupils during lessons, playtimes, lunchtimes or educational activities as required.
• Promote safeguarding and always ensure the wellbeing and safety of all pupils.
• Contribute positively to the wider life of the school and work collaboratively with colleagues.

The Successful Candidate Will:

• Be flexible, proactive and open to new ideas.
• Work effectively as part of a supportive team.
• Fully supports the ethos and aims of the school and Trust.
• Respond appropriately and calmly to challenging situations.
• Have experience working with children of a relevant age in a learning environment.
• Have experience supporting pupils with additional social and emotional needs.
• Be committed to supporting pupils’ learning while continuing to develop professionally.
