As a Grade 5 Teaching Assistant at Bridgelea, you will play a crucial role in supporting children with complex SEMH needs to engage in learning and develop their confidence and communication skills. Working alongside class teachers and other staff, you will:

  • Support teaching and learning in small, focused groups or one-to-one settings
  • Use nurturing approaches and Team Teach techniques to manage behaviour positively and safely
  • Help implement personalised learning plans, including integrating EHCP targets into daily activities
  • Contribute to building a safe, inclusive classroom environment where children feel understood and valued
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to deepen your knowledge of SEMH and specialist strategies
  • Provide PPA cover for the Class Teacher.
