Outreach Worker Alternative Provision Specialist Taskforce x3

(37 hours per week all year round)

An exciting and unique opportunity has arisen within a new multi-disciplinary team within Rochdale Council. The Alternative Provision Specialist Taskforce (APST) has been created as part of a wider system change to work with children and families within Alternative Provision and Mainstream settings. The main aims of the APST are to reduce suspensions, permanent exclusions and to correctly identify need. The APST has been established for 12 months and we are looking to expand our Outreach Team.

The successful applicant will be based at St Alban’s House (Drake Street, Rochdale) and will work with children and young people within various locations across the Borough including Alternative Provisions and Mainstream Schools.

About you

We are looking for people who are passionate about the outcomes for children and who have the ability to communicate clearly with a range of stakeholders. You will need to have a solution focused approach and be willing to adopt alternative strategies to ensure positive outcomes for all children and young people. The successful applicant will be appointed to a team with high standards and expectations who are currently providing a high quality of support across the Borough. Applications will be accepted from a range of relevant backgrounds (Education, Youth Work, Health etc) in order to bring the lens of your experience to this role.
