We have an exciting opportunity for a passionate and skilled professional to join our SEND service as an EHC Assessment and Review Team Manager.

This is a pivotal role in ensuring the Local Authority meets its statutory duties under the SEND Code of Practice and the Children and Families Act 2014. You will lead a dedicated team responsible for the assessment, review and quality assurance of Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs), working closely with families, schools and multi-agency partners. What We’re Looking For

- A confident and experienced leader with a background in SEND.

- Skilled in managing complex casework and leading multi-agency working.

- Knowledgeable about SEND legislation and passionate about improving outcomes for children and young people.

- Committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of vulnerable children and adults.

- Able to manage budgets, monitor performance, and drive service improvement.

- A strong communicator who can build effective relationships with families, schools, and professionals.


What You’ll Be Doing

- Managing the statutory EHC assessment and review process.

- Leading and supervising the EHC Assessment and Review Team.

- Ensuring EHCPs are high-quality, accurate, and deliverable.

- Working collaboratively with educational settings to improve outcomes for children and young people.

- Representing the service at panels, tribunals, and working groups.

- Leading on safeguarding within the team and ensuring compliance with statutory duties.
