The Headteacher and Governors are seeking to appoint an excellent KS2 classroom practitioner to join our skilled and dedicated team from September 2026. We are looking for a teacher who is passionate about raising achievement, has high expectations for all pupils, and is committed to continual professional growth.

Successful applicants will be able to:

  • Engage and inspire pupils, fostering a love of learning through high expectations and strong relationships
  • Demonstrate consistently strong teaching practice and impact within Key Stage 2
  • Deliver a well-structured, ambitious curriculum that supports all pupils to succeed
  • Model effective classroom management and maintain high standards of behaviour
  • Use assessment effectively to identify and address misconceptions, ensuring secure learning before moving on
  • Show a commitment to professional development, including engaging with coaching and mentoring
  • Demonstrate flexibility, resilience, and a proactive approach to school improvement
  • Work collaboratively as part of a team and contribute positively to the wider life of the school

Desirable:

  • Experience of teaching in Year 6, including preparing pupils for end of Key Stage 2 assessments
  • A strong understanding of statutory assessment requirements and strategies to secure high outcomes in upper Key Stage 2
  • Experience of using targeted intervention and responsive teaching to accelerate pupil progress
