Salary: Sixth Form Colleges Association Teachers Pay Spine, points 1-9

Rochdale Sixth Form College (RSFC) opened in 2010 to address the significant underachievement in A Level performance in the borough. Since then, it has raised achievement in the area dramatically and is recognised nationally as a centre of excellence. The college is rated Ofsted outstanding and, is consistently ranked as one of the highest performing colleges in the country according to the DfE's performance tables and national achievement rate tables.

About the Role:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Teacher of English to join our outstanding department. This is an exciting opportunity to inspire students and support their academic progress across a wide range of English qualifications.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Teach allocated students by planning teaching to achieve progression of learning in accordance with RSFC policies.
• Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students are supported to succeed
• Using data to monitor student progress and implement strategies to support achievement
• Participating in departmental planning, assessment, and curriculum development
• Monitoring and intervene when teaching to ensure effective learning and maintain a safe environment in which students feel confident.
• Engaging in the college’s extensive enrichment programme and wider college life
• Contributing to the sharing of best practice and continuous improvement within the English faculty
