We are looking for a skilled and motivated Vehicle & Plant Mechanic to join our Transport Service at Bury Council. You’ll play a key role in ensuring our diverse fleet of vehicles, plant, and equipment is maintained to a high standard, safe, and fully compliant with our Goods Vehicle Operator Licence requirements. Working within a busy workshop environment, you’ll carry out maintenance, repairs, servicing, diagnostics and associated tasks on a wide range of specialist vehicles and equipment. This role also supports MOT and taxi testing activities, with training available for the right candidate. Normal hours of work are 37 hours per week based around the usual business working week. Dependent on service requirements, you may be required to work on a rota basis.
