Due to the retirement of the current post holder, the Headteacher and Governors of Hollin Primary School are seeking to appoint a hardworking and self-motivated administrative assistant.

Required from September 2026 earlier, if possible, to work alongside the current post holder.

The role involves:

  • Undertaking general administration duties e.g. photocopying, filing, faxing, emailing, and completing routine forms.
  • Word processing school documentation, including the production of letters, reports and schedules.
  • Accurately inputting information to databases/spreadsheets, and maintain manual and computerised records and management information systems.
  • Sorting and distributing internal and external mail.
  • Collating registers and complete returns as required by the DfE and LA.
  • Undertaking basic bookkeeping, collect monies and accurately record and balance funds.
  • Acting as a first point of contact, undertaking reception duties and answering telephone and face-to-face enquiries.
  • Welcoming visitors to the school, ensuring that health and safety and safeguarding procedures are followed, including signing visitors in/out, issuing badges and escorting visitors as required.
  • Responding to general day to day queries from staff, pupils, parents and external visitors.
  • Undertaking pupil first aid/welfare duties, looking after sick pupils, liaising with parents/staff, in accordance with school procedure.
