SCHOOL: Smithills School

WORKING PATTERN: 36 hours per week TERM TIME ONLY PLUS 2 DAYS

WORKING HOURS: 8.30am - 4.15pm Monday to Thursday

8.30am - 4.00pm Friday

CONTRACT TYPE: Permanent Contract

SALARY: Grade E Points 11 to 17 £28,142 to £31,022 Per Annum PRO RATA

Actual Salary approx. £23,104 to £25,469

CLOSING DATE: Midnight on Sunday 19^th April 2026

INTERVIEW DATE: W/C 20^th April - TBC

THE ROLE:

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and suitably qualified candidate to proactively collaborate with pupils, staff and parents/carers to promote positive behaviour among all pupils, and to help pupils overcome barriers to learning. The successful candidate will plan, deliver and evaluate the impact of behaviour interventions and work with external agencies as required.

ABOUT YOU:

You will have experience of working with children of a relevant age, dealing with difficult situations relating to poor behaviour and experience of working with outside agencies and participating in meetings. You will be able to assess pupils’ needs and have a well-developed understanding of strategies to manage and support young people with challenging behaviour in a school environment.
