Contract- Temporary Until 31/07/2029 

Hours- 37 per week 

Salary- NJC Grade H6 £65,787 - £72,563 per annum 


An exciting opportunity has arisen for a candidate with specialist knowledge of tobacco control and leadership experience to join the Cumbria & Lancashire Public Health Collaborative. The Collaborative is a partnership including the Director’s of Public Health and their senior teams, and NHS partner organisations with the purpose to improve health and wellbeing by working together on innovative and effective interventions and area wide public health programmes.

Working with the Lancashire & South Cumbria Public Health lead for tobacco control based at Blackpool Council, you will be responsible for the strategic co-ordination and proactive management and delivery of the Lancashire & South Cumbria Tobacco Free Strategy. This includes ensuring equitable access to effective NHS Inpatient and Maternity tobacco addiction and treatment services and growing the work to stop people starting to smoke in the first place. You will need to build, promote and maintain strong and effective working relationships and provide system leadership across a variety of partner organisations (statutory and voluntary, local, regional and national) to ensure that the Strategy is delivered successfully.

If you have the experience, knowledge and skills to direct and implement the delivery of the Cumbria & Lancashire Tobacco Free Strategy by co-ordinating tobacco control activity to achieve; increased quit attempts, successful quits and reduced smoking prevalence then we would love to hear from you.
