Qualification - BPCA/RSPH Level 2 Award in Pest Management. 
 
Professional Registration Body Membership - Basis Prompt or British Pest Control Association
 
Driving Licence – The successful candidate must always hold a full valid driving licence  as you will be required to drive a vehicle adhering to council regulations.
 
DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) clearance - this post is covered by the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (amended in 2013). Appointable candidates will be required to apply for an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Manchester City Council have a fantastic opportunity for a customer facing Pest Control Technician to join our growing team, working around the Manchester area. 

You will be at the sharp end of our service for commercial, residential, and council properties. You will be visiting our customers across your area to make inspections and carry out treatments, as well as promoting additional work if the opportunity arises. 

Experience within the field of pest control is essential, but you will also be provided with an excellent training program for continual professional development.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, enabling them to clearly explain technical information and provide reassurance and advice to customers. You will also be comfortable using technology to complete job reports, update systems, and maintain accurate records.
