Working Pattern: Monday to Friday Term time Only + 5 days

Working Hours: 36.66 per week

Contract: Permanent

Grade: 6 Point 23 Point 27

Actual Salary: £29,450 - £32,688 per annum


The Role:

This is an exceptional opportunity to join us at an exciting moment in the school’s journey. The Governors of this highly successful and well-respected school are seeking to appoint a Higher-Level Learning & Inclusion Lead (HLTA) to play a key role within our internal specialist provision for children with complex needs.

We are looking for a dynamic and ambitious individual who is committed to improving the lives of young people. The successful candidate will work under the direction of our SENDCo to take a leading role in developing and running our internal specialist provision (The Hub), helping us create a centre of excellence for inclusive practice.


About You:

The successful candidate will have:

  • The ability to plan, monitor and deliver high-quality teaching and learning activities.
  • An ability to lead and work within a small team of TAs to provide high-quality provision for pupils with complex needs
  • The confidence to promote high standards of behaviour, managing challenging situations sensitively and effectively.
  • Skill in engaging children in learning that meets individual needs.
  • Experience in supporting the SENCo with EHCP applications, annual reviews and statutory paperwork.
  • The ability to track SEND data, plan targeted interventions and evaluate their impact.
  • Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with staff and external agencies regarding SEND needs.
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development
  • Qualifications to HLTA level or a willingness to study for this.
