We are seeking to appoint an outstanding, enthusiastic and committed Key Stage 2 Class Teacher who will also undertake the role of Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCo) across our school for September 2026.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced teacher with a passion for inclusive education to make a significant impact on the lives of all pupils, particularly those with additional needs. The successful candidate will combine excellent classroom practice with strong leadership skills to ensure that every child receives the support and opportunities they need to thrive.

As our SENCo, you will lead and coordinate provision for pupils with special educational needs and disabilities, working closely with staff, families, external agencies and school leaders to secure the best possible outcomes for all learners.

The successful candidate will:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Have successful experience of teaching within Key Stage 2.
  • Hold the National Award for SEN Coordination (NASENCO) qualification (or equivalent statutory SENCo qualification).
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to inclusive practice and raising achievement for all pupils.
  • Have excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.
  • Be able to work collaboratively with colleagues, parents and external professionals.
  • Have the vision, knowledge and determination to lead and develop SEND provision across the school.
