St. Luke’s C of E Primary School, Morley Street, Bury, BL9 9JQ TEACHING ASSISTANT (LEVEL 2) SEND 1-1 Pupil Support Working Pattern: Term Time Only Working Hours: Part time (32.5hrs) 8:30am to 3:30pm Start Date: September 2026 Contract Type: Temporary until 31st August 2027 Closing Date: 3:30pm on 29th June 2026 Interview Date: Week Commencing 6th July 2026 Job Description Summary We are seeking to appoint a dedicated, resilient and compassionate Teaching Assistant Level 2 to provide 1:1 support for a pupil in Key Stage Two with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs who has an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP). The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the pupil to access learning, develop positive relationships and achieve their individual EHCP outcomes. Working closely with the class teacher, SENDCo, Inclusion Team and external professionals, you will provide consistent support to promote emotional regulation, engagement and wellbeing throughout the school day.
