The Role

Prestolee Multi Academy Trust are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, skilled and highly effective Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our team at Bowness Primary School.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced practitioner to play a key role in supporting teaching and learning across the school. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers and senior leaders to deliver high-quality classroom support, provide whole-class teaching including PPA cover, lead targeted interventions and help raise standards of achievement for all pupils.

The ideal candidate will have experience working as a Teaching Assistant Level 3 as a minimum and hold a Teaching Assistant Level 3 qualification.

About You

We are looking for someone who has:

  1. A Teaching Assistant Level 3 qualification
  2. GCSE English and Maths at Grade C/4 or above (or equivalent)
  3. Successful experience working with children in an educational setting at TA3 level or above
  4. Strong knowledge of effective teaching and learning strategies
  5. Experience of supporting or delivering whole-class teaching (desirable)
  6. Confidence in planning, adapting and assessing learning across the curriculum
  7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  8. Strong organisational skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  9. A calm, flexible and professional approach
  10. A strong commitment to safeguarding, inclusion and improving outcomes for children
