Contract Type: Permanent Working Hours Term time Charlestown Community Primary School is seeking to appoint a dedicated, reliable, and highly organised Site Manager to join our supportive operational team. Working across a fixed Wednesday to Friday shift pattern, you will take primary responsibility for the safety, security, and cleanliness of the school estate. Key responsibilities include routine facilities maintenance, asset management, contractor supervision, and ensuring strict compliance with health and safety regulations. The position will also involve an active role at the school gate at the start and end of the school day to ensure the safety of pupils and other stakeholders. The successful candidate will be working in close partnership with our existing Site Manager, you will collaborate to ensure seamless estate operations. Ultimately, you will ensure a secure, highly functional, and welcoming environment that allows our pupils and staff to thrive.
Working Hours: Part Time, 27.5 hours per week

Qualifications Required: IOSH, NEBOSH or Trade
Start Date: 1st September 2026
Salary: £33,143 – £36,363 per annum (Full-Time Equivalent)
Actual Salary £26,040 -£28,570 Grade 6 27.5 hours per week
Wednesday 11:00 - 18:00 (6.5 hours 1 x 1/2 hr break)
Thursday 06:30 - 18:00 (10.5 hours 2 x 1/2 hour break)
Friday 06:30 - 18:00 (10.5 hours 2 x 1/2 hour break)
Charlestown Community Primary School is a well-established, co-educational local authority institution located on Pilkington Road in Blackley, Manchester.
Catering to approximately 450 pupils aged 3 to 11, the school is deeply committed to inclusivity, academic progress, and community engagement.
