Reporting to: Headteacher

Salary: NJC04 NJC06 (£26,016 - £26,847 per annum)

Hours: 37 hours per week (Monday Friday) all year round - split shift: 7am - 11am and 3pm - 6:20pm

Start Date: ASAP

Closing Date: 18th September 2026 12 noon

St Chad's CE Primary School is seeking a reliable, proactive and skilled Caretaker to take responsibility for the security, cleanliness and day-to-day maintenance of our school site. We need someone who is handy and practically skilled, with the ability to carry out a range of maintenance and repair tasks to keep our school buildings safe, well-maintained and fully operational.

Key duties include:

1. Site security and keyholding
2. Routine maintenance and repairs
3. Health & safety checks
4. Monitoring contractors and managing supplies
5. Maintaining outdoor areas and ensuring safe access
