About Our School

Banks Lane Junior School is a fully subscribed, popular, and successful three-form entry junior school, judged as ‘Good’ in our latest Ofsted inspection July 2024. We are incredibly proud of our wonderful school community, which boasts a highly talented staff team, well-behaved children, and an excellent, vibrant curriculum.

We are seeking to appoint an inspirational and forward-thinking non class based Deputy Headteacher with a proven track record of leadership. Working closely with the Headteacher, you will play a pivotal role in driving continuous improvement in teaching and learning.

The successful candidate will be an exceptional leader who:

• Leads by Example: Remains an inspirational classroom practitioner at heart, modelling best practice.
• Raises Standards: Demonstrates a proven track record of using data analysis and observations to improve pupil achievement and attainment.
• Champions CPD: Continues to enhance teaching and learning by sharing best practice and facilitating high-quality professional development.
• Collaborates Dynamically: Works hand-in-hand with a highly skilled Leadership Team.
• Secures Safeguarding: Possesses an excellent understanding of safeguarding procedures and is ready to lead a positive culture of safety across the school as our Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL).
• Brings the Right Mindset: Is approachable, adaptable, resilient, highly organised, and thrives in a bustling, vibrant school environment.
