This is a great opportunity to come and work in our very highly rated secondary school in central Manchester.

We are now looking to appoint a suitably qualified or experienced person to facilitate high quality learning within the classroom in the absence of the regular teacher, working with the relevant Departments to support student development, progress and attainment and working in line with the School’s Behaviour Policy.

What we are looking for: 
 
  • A Level 2 Award of Food Safety in Catering;
  • Experience of catering in large quantities to high standards in an education setting or similar;
  • Qualifications showing a good standard of basic literacy and numeracy;
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to remain calm under pressure;
  • Good communication and written skills are vital for this role;
  • Knowledge of safe working practices, Health & Safety legislation, Allergy Awareness & COSHH regulations;
  • Experience of cleaning and the ability to maintain a range of equipment;
  • Well organised and professional with a flexible and positive approach to all aspects and areas of your work;
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, responding to tight deadlines, prioritising work and collaborating with colleagues to achieve goals within timescales;
  • Supportive of the school's excellent staff attendance and punctuality record.
