CLEANER

Grade 2, FULL YEAR

Hours per week: 10

Working pattern: Monday Thursday 4:00 6:00pm and Friday 3:30 5:30pm

We are seeking a reliable, hardworking and committed Cleaner to join our premises team and help maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment for our pupils, staff and visitors.

The successful candidate will play an important role in ensuring our school premises are cleaned and maintained to a high standard, supporting the health, safety and wellbeing of everyone within our school community.

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Trust, and applicants must feel comfortable in contributing to the ethos of a church school.

Purpose of the Role:

To undertake a range of cleaning duties across the school site, ensuring that classrooms, offices, corridors, toilets and communal areas are maintained in a clean, hygienic and safe condition. The role also supports the wider premises team in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation throughout the school.

The Successful Candidate Will:

Carry out routine cleaning of classrooms, offices, corridors, toilets and communal areas.

Empty waste bins and dispose of waste appropriately.

Replenish consumable items such as soap, paper towels and toilet rolls.

Clean furniture, fixtures, fittings and equipment in accordance with cleaning schedules.

Ensure high standards of cleanliness and hygiene are maintained throughout the school.

Follow health and safety procedures, including the safe use and storage of cleaning equipment and materials.

Report any maintenance issues, defects, hazards or security concerns to the Premises Manager or appropriate member of staff.

Assist with deep cleaning activities during school holidays as required.

Work collaboratively with colleagues to promote a safe, clean and welcoming environment for all users of the school.

We Are Looking for Someone Who:

Has experience of cleaning in a school, commercial or similar environment (desirable but not essential).

Takes pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness.

Is dependable, punctual and able to work independently.

Has good communication and teamwork skills.

Understands the importance of health and safety in the workplace.
