Midday Assistant

Contract Type: Permanent

Salary: Grade B. Scale 4 - £3,044 (part time, term time)

Hours: 5 hours per week

Base Location: Huddersfield Road, Millbrook, Stalybridge, SK15 3JL

The Governors of St Raphael’s are seeking to appoint a permanent Midday Assistant from October 2026 or sooner to work for 5 hours per week (term time only Monday to Friday - 12.00-1.00pm)

The successful candidate will join our hard-working team in supervising and creating play opportunities for our happy, friendly children. We welcome applications from organised, enthusiastic and adaptable team-players who enjoy working with children. Previous experience of working with children would be an advantage but is not necessary.

We are looking for someone who:

Has experience of working with children

Is able to relate well to children and adults

Is able to help children to enjoy their lunchtime through supporting activities and games

Is able to work constructively as part of a team

Is committed to supporting the Catholic ethos of our school

Has awareness of safety within the school environment
