Our team in Wigan are looking for a Recovery Worker to join them in providing high-quality recovery care to a diverse client group. Our vibrant services in Wigan and Leigh provide support to people concerned about their own or someone else's alcohol or drug use. We have services in both Wigan and Leigh but much of our work is carried out in the local communities we serve. We are an integrated drug and alcohol service, delivering an asset based community approach to treatment. We specialise in harm reduction and needle syringe provision, psycho social interventions, opioid substitution treatment, referral to detox and community interventions. To Apply, please follow the link - https://wearewithyou.cp.occy.com/p/jobpreview?id=mj4pfa1a As a Recovery Worker in our Rough Sleepers Team, you will play a key role in supporting people affected by substance use who are experiencing, or are at risk of, rough sleeping. You will build positive, therapeutic relationships with people who may face multiple and complex challenges, providing assessment, recovery planning, harm reduction, structured interventions and ongoing support to help individuals reduce substance-related harm and make positive changes in their lives. Working as part of a dedicated team, you will work closely with housing, health, social care and other partner agencies to ensure people receive the right support and are connected with appropriate services. This is a rewarding role where your compassion, resilience and ability to engage people who may find it difficult to access support can make a meaningful difference to their health, wellbeing and recovery. This is a full time, permanent position working 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday. As a Recovery Worker, we offer a starting salary of £26,250, rising each year in line with our pay progression salary bands, to £30,900 per year. You will have demonstrable experience working within the health, social care, criminal justice or other specialist setting, or a clear motivation for wanting to work in the drug and alcohol sector. A successful track record of providing efficient and reliable customer service is essential. You will be highly organised, have excellent communication skills, and be able to manage your time effectively. You will work collaboratively as part of a team to ensure a high-quality service is maintained.
