St Bernadette’s Catholic Primary School is looking to appoint a dedicated Teaching Assistant Level 2 to join our friendly and supportive team. You may be asked to work across both KS1 and KS2.

The successful candidate’s role will include:

  • Supervising and providing particular support for pupils, ensuring their safety and access to learning activities;
  • Assist with the development and implementation of individual education/behaviour plans;
  • Displaying initiative, the ability to think on your feet and being proactive to the needs of the children and staff;
  • listening to others and taking on board advice;
  • being comfortable working outdoors and embracing all weathers.

Essentials for this role are:

  • To have experience of working and interacting with children in the relevant age setting
  • To have a basic level of literacy and numeracy;
  • A Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or comparable experience;
  • Knowledge and understanding of safeguarding.
