Chorley New Road Primary Academy is looking to appoint an enthusiastic and skilled part-time teacher to join our team and provide high-quality maths teaching to a group of pupils within Key Stage 2.

This is an exciting opportunity for a teacher who is passionate about mathematics and enjoys working with pupils in a smaller-group setting, enabling teaching to be carefully targeted to pupils’ needs.

he successful candidate will work each morning from 8:30am until 12:30pm, Monday to Friday, with a particular responsibility for planning, teaching and assessing mathematics for an identified group of KS2 pupils.

Is a qualified teacher with a strong understanding of the KS2 mathematics curriculum.
Has high expectations for every pupil and believes that all children can achieve highly.
Can deliver engaging, well-structured and appropriately challenging maths lessons.
Uses assessment effectively to identify gaps, adapt teaching and accelerate progress.
Is confident working with a range of abilities and needs.
Is enthusiastic, positive and committed to working as part of a supportive team.
