The school has received an ‘Outstanding’ Ofsted (June 2023) and is forward thinking, dynamic and supportive. The class teacher will be required to have an understanding of strategies and skills that can be utilised to ensure the curriculum is accessible to all using the Engagement Model and Pre Key Stage Levels. All teachers work as part of a multi-disciplinary team. The post requires applicants to be able to demonstrate initiative, a desire to become involved in professional development to ensure high quality of provision, a willingness to be flexible and adapt calmly to ever changing situations. Knowledge of de-escalation and different behaviour strategies, whilst not essential, would be desirable. Due to our growing school, we are looking to fill the role of SEN Teacher in our new purpose-built school in Offerton.

This post is to join the Teaching team within the school educating pupils with additional learning needs. Above all, you must be child-centred in your approach and have the passion, motivation and ability to work with children who may not relate well to conventional teaching methods and to find connections to engage the harder to reach children. There is a strong emphasis on quality education along with the nurture and care of our children with a significant focus on their emotional and mental health and wellbeing.
