Administration (Level 4) - 37 Hours Per Week

Small School. Big Heart. Exciting Future.

Stansfield Hall CE/Methodist Primary School is a warm, welcoming and highly inclusive school community where every child is known, valued and encouraged to flourish. Guided by our vision of "Let Your Light Shine", we are committed to building successful futures for our children, families and staff.

Following a period of significant school improvement, Stansfield Hall is now proudly judged Good in all areas by Ofsted and has recently secured a highly successful SIAMS inspection. Leaders, governors and staff share a strong ambition to continue building on this success as we enter an exciting new phase in the school's development.

We are seeking an exceptional School Administrator to join our team and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our school.

This is not a typical Administration role.

As a small primary school serving around 100 pupils, our Administrator will be a key member of the team. You will support the Headteacher, Governors and staff with finance, administration, personnel, health & safety and compliance.

Stansfield Hall consists of a ‘small but mighty’ team where every member of staff goes above and beyond to support the needs of our school community.

You will thrive in this role if you:

  • Enjoy working autonomously and taking ownership of your responsibilities.
  • Have excellent organisational and financial management skills.
  • Are solutions-focused and resilient.
  • Value strong relationships and place children at the centre of decision making.
  • Want to make a visible and lasting difference to a school community.

The successful candidate will join us at an exciting time. Alongside a growing nursery provision, the school is preparing to open a new SEMH Resource Provision in 2027, creating further opportunities to develop services, facilities and support for children and families. The Administrator will play an important role in helping to deliver these developments.

We welcome applications from highly experienced school administrators, office managers or finance professionals working within education who understand the breadth and demands of school office management and are ready to take the next step in their career. This role also comes with the potential for the right candidate to develop and advance to a School Business Manager role within the School.

In return, we can offer:

  • A genuinely welcoming school community with a strong family ethos.
  • Supportive colleagues and Governors.
  • A close working partnership with an ambitious and forward-thinking Headteacher.
  • Opportunities to influence strategic decision making.
  • A role where your contribution will be recognised, valued and make a tangible difference.
  • Access to extensive Local Authority support services and professional development opportunities.

If you are looking for a role where you can combine operational excellence and a passion for helping a school community thrive, we would be delighted to hear from you.

We strongly urge interested candidates to visit us, meet with the Headteacher and see our wonderful school in action. Please contact the school office if you would like to arrange a visit.

To apply for this position please download the application form and supporting documentation and send completed applications to office@stansfieldhall.rochdale.sch.uk by 11:59pm on Wednesday 30th September 2026.

The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

Appointment to this post is subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring and background check

The ability to converse at ease with customers and service users and provide advice in accurate spoken English is an essential requirement of this post.

Applicants are advised that by applying for this position they are declaring that they are not subject to any immigration controls or restrictions that prohibit them undertaking work in the UK, and that they are able to provide proof of their Right to Work in the UK if they are invited to attend an interview.

The school will carry out an online search as part of their due-diligence for all shortlisted candidates in line with Keeping Children Safe in Education 2025.
