Teaching Assistant Level 4 (SEN) EYFS

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Teaching Assistant Level 4 (SEN) to join our fantastic team at Grange School.

This is a permanent position working 35 hours per week, term time only plus 5 INSET days. The starting salary is £29,448 and the full time equivalent is £34,237 Grade 6.

Grange School is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, skilled and dedicated Teaching Assistant Level 4 with an Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) specialism to join our ambitious and forward-thinking team.

Key responsibilities include:

As a Level 4 SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Provide specialist support for children with SEND within the Early Years setting.
• Work closely with teachers, SEND professionals, therapists, and parents to ensure children receive appropriate interventions and support.
• Plan, deliver, and evaluate targeted learning activities and interventions.
• Support the development of communication, social, emotional, sensory, and physical skills.
• Act as a key person for identified pupils, contributing to assessments, reviews, and Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
• Promote children's independence, confidence, and wellbeing.
• Create positive, engaging, and inclusive learning experiences that meet individual needs.
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to pupil progress monitoring.

We're Looking for applicants who:

• Holds a relevant Level 4 qualification or equivalent in Supporting Teaching and Learning, Early Years, SEND, or a related field.
• Has experience working with children with SEND in an Early Years or primary setting.
• Demonstrates a strong understanding of child development and inclusive practice.
• Has experience supporting pupils with communication needs, autism, sensory needs, or complex learning difficulties.
• Can build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
• Is patient, resilient, and committed to achieving the best outcomes for every child.
• Has excellent communication, organisational, and teamwork skills.
• Is able to work independently and use initiative when required.
