Contract Type: Permanent Hours: 32 per week Salary: NJC Grade F SCP 19-24 £33,119 - £36,581 pro-rata per annum Closing Date: Thursday 8th October 2026 at 23:59 We are looking to recruit a residential childcare worker. We provide overnight short breaks for children and families with complex needs. This post is 32 hours a week and involves shift working between the hours of 7am and 10pm. The preferred candidate will have experience in supporting children with total care needs, a background of supporting children with disabilities would be an advantage as would a L3 Diploma working with children and young people in residential services. At this point in time we are not able to offer a Visa sponsorship in this role due to operational reasons. to view the Job Description. This post is subject to satisfactory reference history of at least two years, Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check, medical clearance, evidence of any essential qualifications and proof of Right to Work in the UK in accordance with the Asylum and Immigration Act 1996. This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and amendments to the exemptions order, which mean that certain offences are ‘protected’ and do not need to be disclosed, guidance on the "filtering" of offences can be found at New filtering rules for DBS certificates (from 28 November 2020 onwards) - GOV.UK (www.gov.uk) The successful applicant will be required to work outside of a 7am to 8pm Monday to Friday work pattern and will receive an additional payment on top of the quoted salary as a result.
