Welfare Assistant

Contract Type Fixed Term Contract from November 2026 or as soon as possible until 31.07.27.

North Walkden Primary School is looking to appoint a welfare assistant to supervise pupils during the midday break either in the school grounds or in the school premises i.e. during the time when pupils are taking their meal or if the pupils are unable to use the school grounds because of inclement weather.

Previous experience of working with young children is preferred, evidence of excellent practices on managing behaviour through leading by example, modelling expected behaviour and being proactive with encouraging constructive playtime activities. Current Safeguarding training or evidence of awareness of Safeguarding children’s welfare is also a preference.
