We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Case Officer (Adaptations) to join our welcoming and supportive team.

About the Role

As a Case Officer, you will provide a professional, person-centred service to residents requiring adaptations to their homes.

You will manage adaptation cases from referral through to completion, acting as the main point of contact throughout the process and supporting residents every step of the way.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing a caseload of adaptation referrals following Occupational Therapy assessment
  • Supporting customers and their representatives throughout the adaptations process
  • Coordinating applications for Disabled Facilities Grants and other funding streams
  • Obtaining plans, permissions, quotations and supporting documentation
  • Undertaking financial means testing and explaining client contributions
  • Working collaboratively with Occupational Therapists, contractors and partner agencies
  • Ensuring adaptation payments are processed accurately and promptly
  • Maintaining accurate, detailed and person-centred case records
  • Identifying additional support, benefits or services that may assist residents
  • Visiting residents in their homes to provide advice and support with documentation and applications

About You

We are looking for someone who is:

    We’re open to using innovative digital tools where they can help us work smarter and deliver better services for our residents. However, every use of AI is carefully considered to make sure it is ethical, responsible, and aligned with public-sector values.

    When it comes to recruitment, we take a human-centred approach.

    This means:

    • A trained hiring manager reads every application

    • Shortlisting is based on objective criteria required for the job

    • Interviews are conducted in person or via teams by the hiring manager for the role

    • All hiring decisions are made by hiring managers, not algorithms
