Do you want to make a difference and make lives better?

Do you want a job where what you do genuinely matters?

Do you want to be part of something special?

Do you want to join a school at an incredibly exciting point in its journey?

If the answer is yes, we would love to hear from you.

At Bickershaw Church of England Primary School, we are ambitious about the future. We are proud of our past, excited about what is happening in our school today and determined to build something even better for our children, families and community.

This is an exciting time to join Bickershaw. We have high expectations, big ambitions and a real sense of momentum across our school. We are strengthening the way we work, developing our school environment, building even stronger relationships with our families and community, and constantly looking for ways to make our school the very best it can be.

We are now looking for a warm, enthusiastic and highly organised Admin Officer who wants to play an important part in that journey.

This is much more than simply an administrative role. Our school office is at the heart of Bickershaw. You will often be the first smile our children and families see, the first voice somebody hears when they telephone and the person who helps ensure that the hundreds of little things which make a school work happen effectively every day.

We are looking for somebody who:

  • genuinely cares about children and families;
  • is friendly, welcoming and approachable;
  • is organised, efficient and able to manage a busy workload;
  • communicates confidently and professionally;
  • has excellent attention to detail;
  • enjoys solving problems and finding ways to make things work better;
  • can work independently while being a committed member of a team;
  • understands the importance of confidentiality and professionalism;
  • is positive, adaptable and willing to get stuck in;
  • wants to contribute ideas and help us continue to improve.

In return, you will join a friendly, committed and hardworking team who care deeply about our children and our community. You will have the opportunity to make the role your own, contribute to the continued development of our school and be part of an exciting new chapter for Bickershaw.

Our school motto is:

“Valuing the past, inspiring the present and ambitious for the future.”

Those words capture exactly where we are as a school. We are proud of the community and history that have shaped Bickershaw, but we are also incredibly ambitious about what comes next.

If you are looking for a role where you can make a difference, be valued and play your part in building something special, we would love you to consider joining the Bickershaw family.

Visits to school to discuss the post and have a tour are warmly welcomed and encouraged, please contact the school on 01942 866317 or bman@admin.bickershaw.wigan.sch.uk
