We are looking for a reliable, friendly and caring Kitchen Assistant to join our team.
 
 
This is a small but important role at the heart of our centre. The successful candidate will help provide a welcoming lunchtime experience for pupils and staff by preparing and serving food, maintaining excellent hygiene standards and ensuring the kitchen remains clean, organised and safe at all times.
 
The majority of food preparation is completed at another site, with meals delivered to the centre for finishing, serving and presentation.

Main responsibilities:
 
  • Prepare and finish food ready for service.
  • Serve lunches to pupils and staff.
  • Follow food hygiene, health and safety and allergen procedures.
  • Wash up and maintain a clean, safe and organised kitchen environment.
  • Monitor food temperatures and complete required records.
  • Manage stock appropriately and report any shortages.
  • Contribute to a calm, welcoming dining environment.
