Tameside Pupil Referral Service

Engaged. Happy. Successful.

Working together to inspire, nurture and motivate everyone to fulfil their potential.

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, highly organised and experienced Administrative Assistant to join our dedicated team as soon as possible.

Based primarily at our White Bridge College Key Stage 4 site, the successful candidate will provide administrative support across the service, working closely with the School Business Manager, Headteacher and Senior Leadership Team. As part of a collaborative administration team, there may be occasions where travel between sites is required.

This is a varied and rewarding role within a specialist educational setting, supporting some of our most vulnerable young people and helping to ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the service.

Your responsibilities will include providing administrative support across the organisation, dealing efficiently and professionally with student, parent and visitor enquiries, maintaining accurate records and databases, supporting attendance processes, and assisting with meeting administration, including the preparation of agendas and accurate minute-taking. You will also provide administrative support to the Headteacher and wider Senior Leadership Team as required.

The successful candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills and will be confident in dealing with a wide range of stakeholders in a professional and welcoming manner. You will be able to manage competing priorities, remain calm under pressure and demonstrate a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, are essential.

Previous experience working within an educational setting is desirable, and experience of supporting children and young people with additional needs or challenging behaviours would be advantageous. Above all, we are looking for someone who is resilient, flexible, proactive and committed to making a positive contribution to the lives of young people.

This is a challenging but hugely rewarding opportunity to join a passionate and supportive team that is committed to achieving the very best outcomes for pupils, families and the wider community.

We can offer:

  • A supportive and dedicated staff team.
  • A rewarding role making a genuine difference to young people's lives.
  • Opportunities for professional development and training.
  • A commitment to staff wellbeing.
  • Membership of the Local Government Pension Scheme.

If you share our commitment to helping children and young people achieve their potential, we would be delighted to hear from you.

We hope that you will consider applying for this exciting opportunity.
